opportunities
Shifts are available 7 days a week. All new volunteers are required to receive 12 hours of orientation/training for the Volunteer Program, specialized training may require additional training.
Any Direct Service must complete a Cogent Fingerprint BG every 3 years. Background check and CPR certification required.

Administrative Office
Assist our staff with office tasks such as answering telephones, filing, mailings, faxing, database entry and copying. Greet donors and clients.

crisis line
Answer our crisis line and assist callers with safety planning, resources, or contacting other programs on their behalf. Volunteers must complete our crisis line training and shadow an advocate for a minimum of 12 hours. Shifts are available Sunday-Saturday, 9 am-9 pm.

tutor/homework helper
Support children with their academic learning by providing afterschool tutoring and homework help.

Spanish interpreter
Support women and children with support group, resources, or contacting other programs on their behalf.

Support Group
Volunteers will lead support groups for women in our safe house on a variety of topics such as forgiveness, goal-setting, community living, grieving, healthy dating, and self-love. These peer-led groups let survivors interact with someone with a shared experience and hope for living a violence-free life. *Must meet specific qualifications.

Kitchen
Assist our staff with kitchen tasks such as food preparation, cooking and cleaning. Adhere to proper kitchen procedures in order to maintain a safe and clean cooking environment.
