HISTORY

Our Agency is a 501(c) 3 non-profit, State Certified Domestic Violence Shelter. The shelter received the 501(c) 3 designation in March of 1986 after operating for a few years.

  1. During 2020 Georgia had 136 known family violence-related fatalities

  2. Georgia ranks 22nd in the Nation for its rate of women killed by men in domestic violence incidents

  3. In 2019 there were 29,060 Temporary Protective Orders issued

  4. There were 44,475 family violence incidents reported to law enforcement in 2018.
